wellness resource list: books and podcasts

Healing words and supportive guidance are helpful to seek out under normal life circumstances, and crucial in times of extreme uncertainty and anxiety. I often recommend books and podcasts that have influenced my practice (or personal healing journey) to clients that want to explore a topic further than our treatment time, or my professional scope will allow. These are my most favorite and frequently suggested.

-Touch; the science of hand, heart and mind by David J. Linden

-Balance Your Hormones, Balance Your Life by Dr. Claudia Welch, MSOM

-Upstream by Mary Oliver

-Awakening Somatic Intelligence by Risa F. Kaparo, PhD

-The Anti-Inflammation Diet & Recipe Book: Second Edition by Jessica Black, N.D.

-Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer

**Most of these books can be found on Audible (currently offering a month long free trial), Hoopla app (allows you access to movies, ebooks, audiobooks and music from your local library), Libby app (Multnomah County Library’s app - all you need is a library card!), Kindle (titles range in price but seem quite low), or Overdrive app (for virtually borrowing ebooks, audiobooks).

Podcasts
