COVID Protocol Update: Winter 2020

We’ve all learned a lot in the last ten months, haven’t we? About how to adapt to our new circumstances, what we need to be safe, what we need to feel safe, and the fact that safety is defined differently by each of us. While I’ve taken extra precaution with covid safety from the very beginning, I thought that it might be nice to update you on how my protocols have shifted in this new private home studio and bathroom space I’ve recently been blessed with. I take the responsibility of your wellbeing (and my wellbeing) very seriously so you can relax deeply into our sessions together.

Reminders:

-During this time i am no longer taking on new clients. *If you were hoping to be a new client, email me here for more information about virtual session or future session availability.

-I offer sessions four days a week (Mon/Weds/Thurs/Fri) with only 2-3 clients per day, depending on session lengths.

-The evening prior to your session I will call you for a brief check in. Our call will include a wellness check-in of a few questions provided by the Oregon Health Authority, and a few reminders about the new location and things you may want to bring.

-All clients are required to wear masks in the studio. If you are receiving a facial, you will only be unmasked as we begin the treatment itself, at which time I request conversation be paused until the treatment is completed and you are once again wearing a mask.

-You and I are the only people to use this studio & bathroom.

-Windows will be kept open and strategically placed fans, and powerful air filters will be on to ensure greatest possible ventilation. I promise you’ll still feel nice and cozy.

-All clients are required to wear masks in the studio. If you are receiving a facial, you will only be unmasked as we begin the treatment itself, at which time I request conversation be paused until the treatment is completed and you are once again wearing a mask. I will be double masked at all times, through all sessions.

-Massage clients, you are required to wear a mask at all times with the exception of when you are lying face down, when you have the option. I have a different face cradle cover set up than usual on the massage headrest that acts as a face covering without feeling restrictive or limiting comfort in any way.

-Once you arrive, we will sanitize our hands together, and I will take your temperature across your forehead with a digital, no-touch thermometer.

-I am unable to serve clients water or tea at this time, so please bring your own.

Cleaning:

-From the moment I enter the studio in the morning, I am double masked while cleaning and preparing. I am double masked during sessions, and while deep cleaning after sessions.

-Sessions are separated by approximately two hours of “airing out” time. In which I deep clean with a hospital grade, virucidal cleaning agent, then open all doors to join the windows and air filter.

-After deep cleaning the studio & attached bathroom, I change my clothes and throw all used linens, clothes and my mask directly into the washing machine.

If you should have any further questions about my co-vid safety and cleaning protocols, feel free to email me here.

We are almost through this. Let’s respect each other and be kind to each other while we work together to heal. Thank you, in advance for helping to keep me & Full Heart Healing safe, as well!
