New Session Intentions

I am never in as pure a state of connection to intuition and creative source as I am in session with you, and today’s shift in menu offerings is to honor what that time together has inspired.

Welcome to a new era of care at Full Heart Healing.

Nineteen years ago when I attended school to become and Esthetician, I was taught that a facial had a lot of structure to it. So much was predetermined, especially in spas. Cleanse, cleanse again, steam, exfoliate, extractions, massage, mask, layers of finishing products. Then repeat from client to client. And I’m not kidding when I say that for the last nineteen years I have been unwinding and unlearning the restrictive rigidity of that structure with each facial I give. The facial I offer now looks and feels completely different than the facial I gave then, and not only because I’ve gained nearly two decades of experience. It’s because whenever I could I took conscious, intentional steps away from what I was taught a facial ought to be and leaned into what a facial could be. Today’s shift in Full Heart Healing session menu is the next step in embracing the burred line between receiving a facial or massage, and receiving full being care.

There was a moment before I decided to go to school for Massage Therapy to become a dual licensed practitioner, when I realized that choosing this education was going to change my practice as I knew it thus far. I had already been an Esthetician for over a decade and although I began to feel the limits of working primarily with the face, I was a bit nervous about how this next chapter was going to effect the work I had loved for so long. Once I dove into massage school the message I had anticipated receiving was heard loud and clear, I could no longer address the client on my table in parts again. From that moment on, my facials included assessing the body, the energy, the entire being. And my massage practice would never be only about the body while ignoring or overlooking the face. All sessions, any time I had the honor of a client in my presence, were to offer to the whole being. Anything less would mean I was not doing all I could to support healing. Shortly after that Full Heart Healing was created and shaped in that intention.

There will now be less structure to your time on the table so that I may rely upon my years of training and experience, and my intuition, to support you. Less structure allows for more creative freedom. A greater ability to listen and attune to exactly what you need in the moment. For those who love their current FHH session and are curious about how this adjustment will effect their time here, have no worries. It’s actually the work we’ve been doing together for quite some time already. We’re simply taking a more intentional step into it, together. That way I can always be sure that I’ll meet your needs and expectations around the care you receive.

When we enter a session together I may introduce a new massage modality or product or massage tool to best serve your needs that day. I may also request that we begin a Face Focused Session with you lying face down (like you traditionally experience in a massage) so that I may unlock fascial tension and increase blood flow in areas that might seem less directly related to what we’re desiring to achieve with your skin. We might begin with breath work if there is a need and you welcome it, or a few minutes of a guided meditation or the use of tuning forks to make sure you’ve fully landed in this space before we dive in. My hope is that all of you can continue to trust where I guide us and know it will be well worth it.

Our new menu of FHH Sessions is simplified a bit, with Face Focus Sessions, Body Focus Sessions and Energy Focus Sessions. They can all be scheduled alone or combined to create your ideal experience. There is a small list of Enhancements to add on to your treatment that is paired down and sweet. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out via email or give me a call.
